Privacy Policy — Breath-Works

Breath-Works ("the app") is developed by Forrest Koenig. This policy explains what data the app collects and how it's used.

Data We Collect

The app reads heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO₂) data from a Bluetooth-connected pulse oximeter during breath-hold training sessions, along with the training session data you generate in the app (hold times, session history).

How Your Data Is Stored

All data collected by Breath-Works — heart rate, SpO₂, and session history — is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate a server or cloud backend, and your data is never transmitted off your device by us.

Third Parties

Breath-Works does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party, because your data never leaves your device in the first place.

Bluetooth Access

The app requests Bluetooth permission solely to connect to your personal pulse oximeter accessory and read heart rate and SpO₂ readings during training. This connection is local to your device and does not transmit data elsewhere.

Data Control and Deletion

Because all data stays on your device, you control it directly: deleting a session in the app removes it, and uninstalling the app removes all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Breath-Works is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
